Finding the perfect hair product for my hair type has always been a challenge for me. I need something that will detangle my waves after washing, a brush that will not hurt when combing out my wet hair, and a product that will not leave my hair feeling coated or my waves feeling crunchy. These are my personal favourite hair products of the moment.
Paul Mitchell Original Awapuhi Shampoo super-rich wash : As it was simply put to me buy the lovely sales lady... It was the first Shampoo Paul Mitchell ever made, Its got to be good. First of all I love the smell. Awaphui is a wild ginger, smells like watermelon to me. The smell takes me all the way back to when I was 10 years old and my mom bought us some Shampoo and Conditioner on a family vacation in the States, I had my first encounter with Paul Mitchell products. This shampoo helps balance moisture and add volume. I love the fact that it is a rich, but lightweight feeling shampoo and I can use it often and it wont dry my hair out.
Paul Mitchell Original The Detangler super-rich Conditioner: Detangler is the key word here!!! With my wavy hair I often find it really hard to comb out my hair in the shower and It takes ages! With this conditioner, I leave it on for a few minutes and I can comb through my hair effortlessly! I love the fact that it rinses out quickly, if I don't use too much product. One thing I don't like is a conditioner that doesn't rinse out easily. It detangles my hair beautifully!
Davines Naturaltech Nourishing Hair building Pak : I've been wanting some sort of hair treatment to give my hair a bit more than conditioner. My mother in law recommended this product to me and I have loved it since day one. I'm always skeptical of treatments as they are expensive and I'd hate to spend a lot of money on one only to find that it's too rich for my hair and leaves my hair coated. This product is rich, but light. It leaves my hair feeling healthy, soft and shiny and not mention it detangles my hair incredibly!
Babyliss Detangling brush : I prefer using a brush to a comb when combing out my wet hair. Even though you are "not supposed to use a brush" on wet hair. I tend to always go against the rules. I find the bristles are spread out enough , so as not to break my hair off. The bristles are long, So it really gets through my mass of hair.
V05 Miracle Concentrate: When I first heard about this product from another makeup artist, I though it cant be that good, for under 50 bucks? But I was pleasantly surprised! This little Miracle in a bottle is literally magic! It contains Argan oil( The same stuff that's in Moroccan oil). This is my leave-in product after I wash my hair. It is an oil, but does not leave your hair feeling oily, it absorbs completely. Once again, another product with a great smell! ( I am clearly obsessed with amazing smelling hair porducts!)This is my perfect "setting agent" for my hair, It leaves my waves feeling natural and not hard.
