BOOKINGS:
All bookings & details will be arranged with and confirmed by the Bride & Kirsten Murphy Rossiter. Your appointment date and service will be secured when the 50% deposit is received.
Kirsten Murphy Makeup shall be responsible for sub-contracting additional Makeup Artists/Hair Stylists/Assistants for large parties in order to perform the services required in an appropriate time frame.
TRAVEL FEE:
Travel costs is an additional fee and will be charged at R7.00 per km per artist travelling to your venue. This rate is inclusive of petrol, wear and tear on our cars and our time, driving to and from your venue.
MAKEUP AND HAIR TRIAL: Trials are done on weekdays only, at the bride’s home or hotel where she will be staying. Travel fees for the trial will be added as an additional cost depending on where you will be staying.
PAYMENT:
Payments can be made by cash, eft, or swift payment. A 50% deposit of the full price is due at time of booking. This secures your wedding date and also covers your bridal trial. The final balance of bridal services is due by the wedding date. There are no exceptions, and the payments must be received before leaving the makeup area.
An additional cost of R210 will be charged for Swift payments.
CANCELLATION:
Your booking is a reserved spot. Cancellations must be made twenty one days prior to your reserved date. Cancellations made less than twenty one days prior to your reserved date, will result in forfeiting the 50% deposit. All cancellations must be submitted in written form by email.
DOUBLE BOOKING CLAUSE:
Due to potential scheduling conflicts, if prior bookings change of time and or locations and it causes tardiness or inability to perform services for your booking we adhere to the FCFS (the first to have come is the first to be served) policy whereby the requests of clients are attended to in the order that they reserve their services, without other biases or preferences. Kirsten’s (Makeup Artist) obligation to give services hereunder is subject to the unavailability of the Artist as a result of sickness, accidents, acts of God and other reasons beyond the Artist’s control.
SERVICE LOCATION & REQUIREMENTS:
The location of makeup services for the day-of-event will be at the Bride’s discretion, but there are certain requirements the artist will need to complete the services. A set-up table/work area/chair/ will need to be made available for the Makeup Artist. Ample lighting, whether by means of natural light or by lamps, is necessary for services to be performed properly. Artist will arrive 15 minutes prior to set-up. Please communicate the hotel room number if applicable by email or text.
DELAYS:
Please be prepared to start when I arrive. All ladies receiving makeup and hairstyling should have a clean face & clean hair and be ready to start. This is very important so that we can stay on schedule, and so that I can finish applications in the allotted time. I will create a schedule for the day, and will send this by email to the Bride for review. A late fee of R250 will be charged per artist for every 30 minutes of delay when a client is late for the scheduled time, or if scheduled makeup exceeds allotted time because of client delays.
LIABILITY:
All brushes and makeup products are kept sanitary and are sanitized between every makeup application. Makeup products used are hypoallergenic. Any skin condition or allergy should be reported by the client to the makeup artist prior to application, and, if need be, a sample test of makeup may be performed on the skin to test reaction. Client(s) agree to release their makeup artist from liability for any skin complications due to allergic reactions.
AIRFARE AND ACCOMODATIONS FOR DESTINATION WEDDINGS:
All costs for travel to a booked event are to be paid by client. Costs may include, but are not limited to: airfare, hotel, transportation, parking, per diem, service incidentals and all taxes. For venues further than 150 km, accommodation may be required for the make artist.
SATISFACTION GUARANTEED:
Makeup will be completed to client’s satisfaction, but is not to exceed allotted makeup time. Ample time is given for each makeup upon booking. Acceptance of completed makeup application by client is acknowledgement by client that makeup is done to his/her satisfaction.
